127Gb with instantcake but PTVLBA48-4 with instantcake will let you use a bigger hard drive and thats what i'm working on now. Installed a 200 GB drive and it gave me 176Gb of recording space.

Did you check the drive to see if it had any bad sectors in it or also could be if you burnt the image to cd try slowing the wright speed down.

thats no lye but here is my question do you need both instantcake and ptvnet for just upgrading your hard drive i just purchased instantcake baked it and installed the 200gb drive in my rca...

Make sure to go into setup and have your cdrom as the 1st boot drive. if the hard drive boots 1st it will say missing operating system.
