A few years ago I wanted to encourage my HOA to adopt security cameras for the neighborhood - so I installed four at the house for a "show and tell". It worked, I have now 8 additional cams throughout the neighborhood. Word got around town about my limited skills with cameras resulting in the local American Legion Post contacting me about enhancing their surveillance system.

I upgraded their DVR from 5 to 16 channel. My mistake (67 years old and you'd think I would know better) was that I purchased this (new) DVR off of eBay (to keep costs in check) and it turns out this is like a generic unit that companys produce then forward to a name brand who retails same under their logo. This unit has no mfg info at all. It did come with a very limited manual of sorts but leaves a lot to be desired.

The issue: I am currently only using 12 of the 16 channels but on rotation all 16 channels (including 4 blank panels) are displayed - the owner would like to remove the unused channels from displaying but I have yet to figure out how to do this.

I realize this is a stretch with such little info to offer but that's what I got.
