I have a HDVR2 & HR10-250 setup to be reachable from work. I can connect to the HDVR2 at all times. The HR10-250 I can connect to sometimes. Sometimes I get "The page cannot be displayed", and sometimes I get right in to the unit. Any idea's why this could be intermmitent? When I cannot connect to the HR10-250 I can still connect to the HDVR2 so it is not a downed network.

Also, I can connect to TWP everytime when I go home and connect locally.

How do you have the intermittently showing tivo's port forwarded?

It works sometimes and sometimes not remotely. The router setting never change.

Let me ask the question another way--->

Describe, in detail, the port forwarding steps that you have taken in order to access your two tivos from the www.

Would it matter if it connects sometimes? Isn't it one of those if it works it would always work if there were no changes made to the router?

I forwarded 80 to 8888 and my DVR is port 8888

Is that what u r asking?

I'm just trying to suggest that you may have a conflict which allows a "confused" router to see it sometimes, and other times not.  Didn't you say that you have two dvrs?  Have you eliminated all potential variables / conflicts in the system to see if you can isolate the issue?

Yup. 2 DVRS and the other one NEVER loses it connectivaty remotely.

I appreciate you help on this, no one else has bothered.

But again, you are NOT forwarding the same port for both dvrs, right?

Right.

The HR10-250 Port = 8888

The HDVR2 Port = 8820

Rebooting the HR10-250 fixes this problem every time.

Have you tried another port?  One that is inside of the range, like the one that works consistently?

I could try that. Once again I appreciate your help. I will change the port tonight.
