Problem solved, thanks to this tip from a knowledgeable reader of the Tivo Community Forum:

"Go into Guided Setup and tell it you have two satellite feeds for dual tuner. You have to do it in the satellite setup page in Messages and Setup.

Should work just fine afterwards."
