m2v and m2a to mpeg1 file

Hi..

So I can get the m2v and m2a files from the TiVo now I'm trying to get them to be 'joined' togeather to create an mpeg1 file. When I use the tmpgenc with TiVo-VCD.mcf what happens is that the audio and video are out of sync.

Any one have any ideas on how to do this. I have both Linux PCs and Windows PCs at my disposal.

Thanks again!

Markwi,
I usually transcode the video and resample the audio on my Linux box first, then use tmpgenc to multiplex. The simple multiplex under file->mpeg tools usually works for me. I believe the non-simple multiplex will allow you to shift the audio to line it up just right. Incidently, I have found that sox makes a much better resampled audio track than tmpgenc(at least on Best quality source, haven't tried lower). I have details on my web page at munsetrman.com

Hope that helps,
