Welcome to the New and Improved DVRplayground

We've been hinting at it for weeks, and now it's finally here! An all new, all improved DVRplayground - your favorite playground on the web for all things DVR. The first thing you'll notice, we're sure, is the new look and feel. Drop us a line, and let us know what you think. Then, visit the forums , check out the community's blogs (more are on the way), or read any of the interesting and informative articles submitted by members just like you. Don't find what you're looking for on the front page, search for content using our new advanced search tool or browse the site to discover what's new-and-interesting or older-but-great . Got something to say? Post a question in the forums , or better yet be the answer to someone else's question . And if you really have a need to express yourself, you can have your very own blog! Just ask . But most importantly, let us know what we can do for you. This is YOUR community. Send us feedback , send Matt Whitlock (the head guy around here) a private message , or post a suggestion in the forums . We're looking forward to seeing...

Getting Started at DVRplayground

Welcome to DVRplayground.com, the ultimate DVR community site on the web! For many of you, the look and feel of this site will be different from anything you've ever experienced before. DVRplayground is not built upon the "off-the-shelf" software packages you've been accustomed to over the years. We at DVRplayground felt that a community should include more than forums, or just be more than a blog. Sure, we could have taken the easy way out, and tied a site together using the same "off the shelf" packages that everyone else uses, but then nothing would be seamless, and the term "community" would be replaced by "another newsgroup" or "another forum". DVRplayground is built from a brand new "custom" community platform, and it seamlessly brings together everything a community should have. Blogs, forums, articles, tips, and other powerful tools that make being a member of an online community take on a whole new meaning. This is what a community is supposed to be like. Of course, we also understand that anything different from the norm takes a little getting used to, so we thought it would make sense to help point out a few ways to get started in out new...
