I recently bought a 52" LG television. When the satelite company hooked up their HDMI cable to my TV the DVR blew up( inside the box-burn"t plastic smell-not an actual explosion though). The service tech had his hand shocked and my TV will not turn on. This is a 2 week old TV. Any Ideas?

United StatesHmm.... I am not a TV service expert, but I'm willing to bet that it's highly unlikely the DVR "blew up" the television. It could have been due to a power surge of some type, but I'm really not sure. I would probably advise you to have a television technician (a real one) look at your television to see what may have happened, no other way to be sure.
