I have two questions about the Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR as provided by Comcast.

-Can the internal hard drive be upgraded much like can be easily done with the Tivo HD machine?

-Is the internal hard drive a pata or sata interface?

For HD service to a second TV in the house, I am trying to decide beyween a second Tivo HD or the much less expensive Comcast provided SA 8300HD. However, unless I can significantly increase the size of the internal hard drive, like I did with the Tivo HD, the 8300HD will not work for us. I do not want to use an external esata device.
