Long story: My Mom was on a tv show (antiques road show) and I recorded in my TimeWarner Cable DVR, now I want to take i out of the DVR and make it into a DVD for my grandmother that lives in another state.
My DVR is a Motorola. On the front it has a HDMI label, it also reads interactive digital communications and it has the model (?) DCT3416 i
bellow that it reads "dual tuner dvr / hdtv capable."
I looked under the box and it has a sticker where I found this model number:
Set top box-model
DCT3416 - 2300
Platform ID 704 phase 1.
How can I transfer this show to my PC?
Any help or guidance you can provide will be greatly appreciated

Sorry to say I never found anything online that would help me. So we just kept it and have to invite people over to watch it.

Depending on the show you are looking for there are some websites that have complete shows for download.

Good luck

you can take the composite or s-video output of the dvr and feed it into a dvd recorder. hit record on the recorder and play on the dvr at the same time and let it run. Or you could do the same to a video capture card on your pc. there is no direct way of copying the video from your dvr to your pc

Thanks for trying to help. I wasn't looking to transfer/record it in real time. I wanted to obtain the video as a file to a laptop without having to buy a dvd recorder.
