Hello, my name is Chris and I just wanted to get an idea how hard it would be to build a DVR. Here are my requirements:

1) Can record HDTV.

2) Has a cable card that can change the channel.

3) Whats the best software to use? I want something that can download a channel guide for my area.

4) I don't want a huge tower, I want to fit it behind my TV.

Also is it possible to record one thing and watch TV on the same box?

So please if you can help me, or give me access to some resources I would appreciate it. Thanks.
