I have gone over the set up directions several times and everything seems to be set up properly.

I am upgrading the hd for a toshiba SD-H400(series 2). Instacake freezes up. The last line I get is Kernel Panic: attempted to kill init! Has anyone seen this before?  Another thing I noticed a date as it was running 9/2/2005....Did I get an old version?

I resolved this issue by pulling out one of my old computers and running the procedure using it.

it was an old p2 processor...completed drive load, put in tivo and system came back to life.
