What's the context of your question?  Is there a particular product that you're looking at that's calling itself hybrid analog & digital?

In general terms, I would think that "hybrid analog and digital TV" just means that the device is able to take in both analog (traditional "standard cable" signals or through-the-air TV signals) and digital (ie from a cable box, either standard or hi-def) signals.  For example, here's an example of a device that allows your PC to take in both analog and digital signals.
