I have a DVR that I ordered when I ordered cable... I use Time Warner Cable in Manhattan.  When I record a show, there's a Log that shows all the shows I've watched.  How do I delete shows from that Log?  Thanks in advance.

Hopefully somebody will know a trick but I've read Time Warner DVRs keep the log for 14 days and at least initially did not provide a delete function.  But I'm a DirecTV guy and this is second hand.  Good luck.

Okay, thanks.  I thought they would be listed there forever.

However, if anyone else knows how I can clear the log, please respond.  (I do think that having your shows listed on that log should be voluntary, which could easily have been set up somewhere in the preferences.)

Well you've got one advantage - no automatically recorded suggestions. There have been many reports of Tivos deciding their owners are gay.

One guy tried to counter program with war movies and then claimed his Tivo decided he was Nazi. Another reported an issue with his wife when he tried to explain the porn on his Tivo was just counter programming to convince the Tivo he was not gay.

So by comparison, having a log of only things you've chosen to record, only for 14 days could be worse. With Tivo its forever and some people claim it makes value judgements. :)
