First check out the first link to the dvrplayground  post to set up HMO for viewing pictures from you PC onto the Tivo. Second is how to set up so you can watch videos from your PC and watch/convert them to watch on your Tivo. Third is to download, edit, and record onto DVD the shows from your Tivo (Two seperate links.)

 Once you have all this running you can also set up MRV which is the best part of having 5 D Tivos in my house. I can watch what is recorded on any of the other D Tivos. Second is I download the movies/shows and either watch on my XP or Vista Laptops then convert to an MP4 format to save/watch the movies on my PSP at work.

Well I have used many sources over the past year or two but one that I found I liked alot was from the link below. I found that my version of Ptvupgrades InstantCake 6.2 did not have osme of the files in the locations/folders that were in the discussions on how and where to put the files in. So I found that the link below worked perfectly for my situation. I used programs for FTP like the site below, Firezilla has worked great. Then I would use Microsoft Telnet without nay issues so far. I know alot of others use quite a few different software programs too though. Like I said the first link below shows visuals and what and where to put the files. Remember when you use the FTP program make sure to set it to BINARY, this will solve many issues down the line.

Okay you need to get the superpatch-62a which is the updated superpatch for the 6.2a update that came out recently. Try this out. I have put another link for  this site when the 6.2a update was being downloaded to the D Tivo boxes, read it and then go find the superpatch-62a from dealdatabase if I remember correctly, also try the links from Tivo.coms forums on teh 62a patch. Let me know how it goes.

Since your machine has already been updated with the 6.2a slices you need the superpatch-6.2a not superpatch-67all. Once I used the slicer  to upgrade the 6.2a slices I then  re-ran superpatch-67all it said it would not work on the 6.2a slices. I then found the superpatch-6.2a and this worked. All I had to do was to FTP the superpatch-62a (Make sure you have Firezilla set to Binary Mode) to:

 /var/hack/

./superpatch-6.2a.tcl

Then it should initiate patching the Tivo Apps.

Please Help, I have a Time Warner Cable DVR, I have some important news that I recorded and need that news transfer to a DVD. How do I do that I bought a 1394 cord that I was told I would need and hooked it to computer, the computer reconized the DVR but was unable to do any thing. What do I do to get my recorded news off the DVR and on computer to burn into DVD. Thanks so much.

I have a DirectTV DVR and it will not play my saved shows and DirectTV is no help they just say I need a new receiver but I can not lose some of the shows I have saved they are very important one is of my 7 year old at a WWE PPV. Please tell me there is a way to save these somehow?? It seems like they could just transfer them to a new DVR.
