I installed my 146 Hour Replacement Drive Kit (160GB) w/PTVnet and Tivo Web+ 2 weeks ago.  I have a Hughes SD-DVR40 connected wirelessly to my Linksys WRT54G Router using a Buffalo Technology Wireless-G MIMO Performance Ethernet Converter (WLITX4G54HP) and a Linksys Compact USB Network Adapter (USB200M).

I can now connect to my DirecTiVo box using my WEB browser but I still have a couple issues.

1. Is there any way I cam move video's, mpg's, avi's, photos, from my PC to my DVR and view them on my TV???  If so, how would I do this or where could I go to get simplified instructions to do it??

2. Is there any way to move recorded programs from my DVR to my Vista (or XP) Media Center PC and view them on the PC or burn them to DVD??  If so, how would I do this or where could I go to get simplified instructions to do it??

How do I hack my TiVo?  Where do I get Superpatch and how does it get applied to my TiVo?  I grew up with DOS so am not afraid to try some things but I need to be walked through the first couple steps to get me going.  Sorry but I really am a newbie to TiVo hacking.

HR10-250, Samsung SIR-S4120R, SIR-S4080R, 2 Philips DSR704s (one connected to a Slingbox A/V). One box used the "Zipper"; rest used PTVnet to enable networking features.

I have a Hughes SD-DVR 40. I also used InstantCake & PTVNET.

My USB works, because my USB to Ethernet is lit up.

However, I cannot connect my computer to the Tivo, nor can the Tivo connect to the Internet.

How did you get it to work?

Well...for starters....when you say, "my USB to Ethernet is lit up" what did you connect it to?  Your router?  If so, go into the router's administration software and look for the dhcp client list- that will show you what is actively connected- your computer, your tivo etc.... if you see that both your pc and your tivo are connected, then simply go into your pc's browser and type in the ip address of the tivo.  If you have ptvnet installed correctly, and all connections are active, you should get to a tivowebplus screen.  Google tivowebplus and you can learn more about its functionality.

Now three Sammys (2 S4120R & 1 S4080R) upgraded with a little help from our friends at PTVupgrade, then Superpatched for MRV & HMO.

Don't forget to watch a little television now and then guys!

Ok - update. I appreciate your response. Using the ROuter's dhcp client list will not bring up Tivo. However, I found a program called Look @ Lan (all put together as 1 word). It gave me the Tivo's ip address. Once I got into it, I noticed it said, 'Updating". After it updated, my Directivo now has 6.3e and the USB ports are now turned off. Backdoor Enabled no longer shows up on my System Information.

Does anyone have any hacks for 6.3e or is the update too new?
