This is due to the DST update you received from DirecTV.
There is more information about this in our newsletter sent out a little over a week ago.
In a nutshell, the problems is that the kernel of the operating system in the newly installed 3.5b is not capable of reading beyond the 137GB limit of your drive (the number displayed in your system information screen may 'think' that the entire drive is addressable by the operating system, but it is not).
The solution to the problem involves reinstalling the "LBA48-aware" kernel onto your system, as well as disabling the initrd on your system. If you do this correctly, you may still be able to salvage some of the material on your system, depending on how much it has been in use since the update came down.
To do this you will need to use the kill_initrd utility (found on the free silicondust turbonet driver CD) and the CopyKern utility (found on our free LBA48 bootCD).
Altnernatively, you can do a full/clean reinstall of InstantCake with the newly updated version 3.5b.
