Hey JK,

I've used InstaCake before, three different versions in fact, without problems. I have my CD drive as Primary Slave and two new 120GB as Secondary Master and Slave and I've double checked they are jumpered correctly. The BIOS shows the CD and drives are in the right places as well. Linux boots fine but when I hit return I get the /dev/ not a block device error. What am I missing here? This is using the HDR312 InstaCake I bought a year or two ago. Again, I've used this several time with no problems. Thanks.

I just tried one of my other InstaCake cds (DSR6000) in the same system the HDR312 InstaCake gives me the /dev/ is not a block device error on, and it works, seeing both HDs and starts up. So, it is not a jumper or other configuration problem. What am I missing here? I have a dead original HDR312 and really need to get it up and working again! Thanks
