How do I clear out a drive that has been setup for TiVo so that I can format it back to Windows and run it on one of my computers ??

When I try to Fdisk it so that I can re-format...it doesn't like the command and will not reconize it ??

Thanks for any help !!

I haven't tried it with XP or Vista, but you should be able to run fdisk from the command line and remove the Linux partitions.

You can certainly do it with the third party program PartitionMagic.

You also should be able to obtain a copy of Linux and use it's fdisk to remove the partitions.

There is no need to run fdisk in newer versions of Windows; they have partitioning utilities during installation or from within Windows itself (XP: right-click My Computer, Manage, Disk Management).
