I have 2 Series 1 TiVo's. I just put a new 320GB in my one TiVo with a CacheCard. It has no ram in the CacheCard. On set up I put ,#301 but it did not work. I had to install CachCard-Lba48.iso that I downloaded. Then it worked.

But I want to get my old mails and videos off the old had drives that are still working and put them on the new 320GB. It off a old 30GB boot and a 100GB one. I put them in a TiVo with a Turbonet card. But I can not mfs_ftp to it or any thing. It don't get a IP. I did not know the CacheCard and Turbonet did not use the same drivers.

So how do I like down grade back to the Turbonet driver? It's version 3 I know it auto had the driver but I guess CacheCard must of removed it or I just have to link to it? I can still get to it over the serial cable but that's it.

I hope I understand your ? correctly.  The cachecard will function as a nic without ram installed but needs the cachecard driver; it is different than the turbonet driver.  you can get the driver and instructions for install over at silicondust.com/forum.  The network call is ,#401 btw...

I now have the Turonet card and not the CacheCard. I guess I have to uninstall the CacheCard driver for the Turonet to work. I will look into that. I could not find any thing on google to uninstall CacheCard.

It's working. I ran the CD and did the command "/nic_install/nic_install turbonet" Put it back in the TiVo and this time it worked. Started to download the videos as .ty files using tytool then I want to upload them to the new 320GB hard drive.

One thing the Turbonet card LED was not flashing. I think it was not on the board good. But it looked good. I took it off and put it back on and it worked. But I don't know if it worked because I run the nic_install turbonet or not.

Well it's working now. Maybe this will help some others.

I like to get the video files to the new hard drive with all there info. Is there a way to do that? I think the .ty file is only the video.
