I'll forward the issues you are having to the developers. I use Firefox (I too have an aversion to Microsoft software) and have not had any issues but a new version of the platform was rolled out recently.

Just on general principals, I hate to use Microsoft software whenever I don't need to.
Up until about a week ago, I was able to access the forum with no problems using Netscape 8.
Now when I try using Netscape, it locks up and the site never comes up.
Anybody have any ideas what changed or will I be forced to use Microsoft's Explorer?
Since we're on this, in my 6.3b article, I noticed that the ads are now partially covering the comments section, even though there are no pictures in the article. Could it be the blockquote in the first comment?

Now that you have mentioned adds or other items partially covering other parts of the page, here is another problem I have noticed.
Since my eyesight is getting worse as I get older, I often use the CTRL-+ key combination in Netscape to increase the font size in the forums.
Every so often either an add overlaps part of the message or text from the menu on the side of the page overflows it's box and covers part of the message.
I downloaded Netscape (8.1.2) to test not being able to see the forums and I couldn't replicate. I'll confess I'm new to Netscape (well, last time I used Netscape Navigator was around 1997) so there may be some setting I might need to change. What version and settings do you have?
I definitely could replicate the Ctrl-+ issue though.
Also Yog-Sothoth, I couldn't replicate the issue with the comments section in your 6.3b article. I just wanted to make sure the URL with issues is: http://www.dvrplayground.com/article/...
I am running Netscape 8.1.2.
When I changed the Rendering Engine back to Internet Explorer, the problem was there again.
To change the Rendering Engine used for a given WEB site by Netscape:
1. Click on Tools on the main menu
2. Click on Options on the drop down menu
3. Click on Site Controls in the pop up window
4. Make sure the WEB site you are interested is high-lighted in the My Settings portion of the pop up window
5. Click on either Firefox or Internet Explorer in the Rendering Engine portion of the pop up window
6. Click on the OK button to apply the changes
If I am set to Internet Explorer for the Rendering Engine and try to access the www.dvrplayground.com WEB page, Netscape locks up and the page never displays.
When I change the Rendering Engine back to Firefox, the WEB page displays with no problems.
If
I was way too detailed about the steps to follow, please accept my
apology. As a retired computer programmer, I always wanted too much
information from my users rather than too little.
Usually I get "it doesn't work" from my typical users in my IT support consulting gig, so your post was a breath of fresh air! :)
I'll test it out in Netscape shortly but your post should help out the developers tremendously. Thanks!
Doug, click on "View All Comments"; that is where I'm noticing the overlap. I'm using the latest version of Firefox, and my resolution is 1920x1200.

I can replicate... yet another issue for the developers bug tracker (they love me today!). :)

I changed the option for the rendering engine to FireFox for the forum in Netscape and now it works again with no problems.
