hey all,

I am in the process of speccing out a new htpc running vista ultimate.  I was thinkiing of using the ATI x1900 All in wonder card as my video capture/tuner card.  I want to be able to display both HD and DVD at 1080i to my toshiba 56" DLP 1080p tv.  Is this the right route to go?  I have comcast as my cable subscriber and we are currently using their motorola HD DVR cable box.  Do I need to get a cable card from them to capture the HD stream?  Will I be able to run 1920x1080 to my tv with this kind of setup?

Sorry for all the questions just trying to preempt some of the inevitable problems :)

Cheers

I'm interested in running Vista Ultimate for the Media Center capability with HD capability. Anyone else done this?
