I have the PTV LBA48 3.1+ enhancements downloaded to  a cd. Is killinitrd on the disk?  If so, howdo I run it?

 From reading many threads I gather I must run killinitrd on a series 1 TIVO before I can run copykern with the sytem change to 3.5.  Is this correct?
