I wanted to say sorry if there is already some information about my paticular system and the problem I am having.  I purchased the Instantcake and PTVNet 6.2 for my Directivo Phillips DSR708 and had no problems installing either Instantcake and PTVNet upgrade.  I have the Lynksys the older Lynksys 802.11B ver 2.8 but I am unable to get the networking portion to work.  Thanks for any help you can give me.

I just went and tested the linksys wireless adapter on my pc and discovered it isn't v2.8.  The linksys wusb11 is v2.6.  I purchased the adapter on ebay and I should have looked over better than I did.

Thanks for any help,

Thank you!  I followed the information that you had me look at and it took care of the problem.  I am not sure what was causing the problem but I knew that I was going down and was dead in the water when not one dhcpdiscover packet whas coming from my Dtivo.  I am still trying to come up with an idea of why the PTVnet product failed and the what you directed me to try.

Thanks for the help,

Bob
