It would seem that it is impossible to purchase USB200M ver 1. or Netgear FA120 (or others) in So. California. Is there a support thread which documents ver 2 implementation for HR10-250.
Other USB 2.0 Adapters Cables Unlimited USB-2810 (reported by "TurboMaster") Is this one also OK to use with the HR10-250????

With the release of software version 6.3 for the HR10-250, and the fact that it breaks DHCP, it would be best to wait until the "kinks" are worked out. I'll update this thread after the dust settles.
If you need something that works now, I suggest eBay for the FA120.

HR10-250, Samsung SIR-S4120R, SIR-S4080R, 2 Philips DSR704s (one connected to a Slingbox A/V). One box used the "Zipper"; rest used PTVnet to enable networking features.
FYI: I finally took the time to take out drive from my hr10-250 which has recently installed PTVUpgrade 500Gb drive, I booted with the PTV boot CD and just for fun hardcoded a static IP address within my LAN. To my surprise the USB interface started to work. Looks like whatever drivers are being shipped(loaded) on the PTVUpgrade drive are compatible with USB200M ver. 2.
I am happy that my equipment can talk to me and concerned what will happend with version 6.3
Haroon,
Thanks for your post. I was going nuts try to find an adapter listed here as "supported" I saw your post and took a chance with a linksys USB200m ver2. It worked with DHCP right after instantcake and PTVupgrade with not other mods. Not sure why or how but it's working. I just bought mine today in NYC so maybe I got a version with a newer firmware or something but my adapter clearly says ver2 on the back.

The version 2 is not supported in the stock 6.3a drivers. Just because it worked with PTVnet doesn't mean it will work when you update to 6.3a.
