I hope this is not a too "newbish" of a question but I was unable to fine a recent answer to the questions.....

Can Instantcake 6.2 and PTVupgrade handle a 300 GB drive on a Directivo Hughes SDVR40 (Series 2). It is a brand new untouch drive I intend to do the Instancake / PTVupgrade on, if that matters.

I found this post that say "No", but that was back in 2004....

Other posts here and documentation indicate it is no longer an issue. Not sure of the exact state. Does it require the LBA48 stuff? If so is it the Free download, the $5 download or the $20 download for the LBA stuff.

Thanks in advance for the help.

A 300GB drive should work fine; check the release notes (link below) for more info...

Thanks Lou...

I read through the release notes and I agree it appears I am good to go... Will be baking the 300 GB drive tonight.

Again, thanks for the support and the GREAT products......

Do we know if 750 gig drives will work with instant cake?  My application would be a HR10-250 (HD DirecTivo).

The release notes seem to imply this is not supported, but since they are relatively new I thought I'd ask.
