I am finding the superpatch icon, but under var/tmp. Is it okay to proceed with the next command. When I type in the script to create the dir, the first line is

cd/ptvupgrade/

when I enter this, it tells me no such directory is found. If I enter:

ptvupgrade/, it allows that, then mkdir.

My superpatch dir is ending up in var/tmp, no matter how it is done. This is a replacement drive from ptv. Is the folder okay to be there. Can I proceed with

./superpatch........... only starting with

var/tmp/superpatch

I do not understand either of these posts.  You might want to step back and try to clarify what exactly it is you are trying to say.

Best I can tell, you are attempting to install and run the superpatch on one of our replacement drive kits already configured with PTVnet, yes?

This is the article you should be referencing to do that:

Sorry, I have a replacement drive from Ptv. I am following the extraction guide from the articles to be able to pull my recorded programs to my pc for burning. The extraction guide is telling me to telnet to my unit after I place the tserver file into the ptvugrade bin:

cd/ptvupgrade

mkdir superpatch, then transfer the downloaded superpatch file to

Ptvugrade/superpatch. The problem I am running into is that I'm assuming that the above language is going to greate a folder under ptv upgrade for me to transfer the superpatch. The superpatch folder is not showing up where the extraction guide is saying it should be. I'm assuming that it should show up in Smart Ftp as a subfolder of prv upgrade I'm using smart ftp to transfer, this is where I'm seeing the folders and files on the dtv upgrade. My question is whether this is ok. The superpatch subfolder is showing up in the ftp as a subfolder of var/tmp, not ptvupgrade/superpatch. Can I proceed with the rest of the directions in the extraction guide only instead of entering the line

ptvupgrade/superpatch

./superpatch-67..............,

Instead, if I'm going to transfer the file to

var/temp/superpatch

should I enter,

var/tmp/superpatch/

./superpatch-67............... in the bash prompt.

I apologise if I'm not making it easier, I'm trying to follow the guide step by step and it is not going as it seems it should

Please cancel my previous requests, after several hours I got it. It seems as though I was putting a space in the code where I shouldn't have. Thanks for your replies.

I have the superpatch and I am having troubles as well.  I get the error No such file of directory.  I have done the rootwrite from the bash prompt.  I have a folder /ptvupgrade I have a folder /superpatch the file superpatch-67all-NutKase-1.1.tcl exists in this folder. I have went to the /ptvupgrade folder and ran ./superpatch-67all-NutKase-1.1.tcl from the prompt, and have ran superpatch-67all-NutKase-1.1.tcl from the /superpatch folder

Thanks,

Mark
