Did you do the "Clear and delete everything " option after power up?

hi,

to continue my reply.

i then tried to use the IC upgrade for another drive, an 80gb maxtor, but cant get this to even boot up, when I use the PT48 cd and the IC cd it says that the drive  is too small. the version of IC is I think 3.0. can some one please help I am not really sure what to do anymore?

When using InstantCake on the 80 GB drive, there should have been no reason to use an LBA48 CD, as an 80 GB is not large enough to require that (under 137 GB).
