Hello everyone,
I am looking for a little advice on my recent HDRV2 upgrade. The route that I took was to first install ICAKE-S2DT-311e (Purchased the wrong one, my stupidity) and then let it upgrade to 6.2. After it was upgraded, I then installed PTVnet-S2DT-62. I selected all of the defaults except for disabling the phone requirements. After reading some more articles and realizing that want to apply the Superpatch down the road, I wanted get some idea what the best course of action would be. From what I can tell, the cleanest, but definitely most time consuming would be to rebuild using the method above and selecting to disable phone requirements when asked. The other that I am not certain about would be to use flag_swap PHONE. From what I've read in this thread http://www.dvrplayground.com/forum/thread/10959/, some people got a pesky message that they have not made a call in 14+ days after doing this although a solution was offered to them and they never posted a follow-up. I also am hoping that by doing this, I will still be able to keep my phone line plugged in for the Caller ID function.
I appreciate any help you can give as I am anxious to try out the features in the superpatch.

Yog,
Tonight I followed your advice and everything worked as expected. Thanks again for the direction. I did run into a problem while performing the superpatch upgrade in the Enabling MRV and HMO with a DirecTiVo article but I have added my questions in that thread.
Thanks again for your help.
Did re-running the PTVNet blow away all of your recordings?PTVnet has no effect on recordings.

You can also log in using OpenID.
If anyone has any opinion on which course of action would be prefered, I would really like your input. Thanks in advance.
