Things were going smoothly - too smoothly it seems. I've been able to access my TiVo - Hughes Series2 - for weeks now from two different PCs on my home LAN. Today, I wasn't able to get a connection through TyTools from one of my PCs. It seems it took the IP address that was originally assigned to the TiVo for its own. The PC in question originally had an IP address of 192.168.0.4 and the TiVo came in with 192.168.0.5. Now, this machine has taken the 0.5 address, leaving me with no connection.
However, things still work fine from my other PC. I'm able to access the TiVo with TyTool as always.
As Gen. Halftrack is wont to say, "NOW what"?

Thanks for the reply, Yog. (Yog?)
Just as suddenly as the problem appeared, it magically went away. Look@LAN was reporting my PC as using two IP addresses - .4 & .5, then the next day .5 was mysteriously re-assigned back to my TiVo unit.
Although it's nice that there's no more problem, I really hate when things fix themselves.
BTW, I have a Netgear RP614v3 router. Do those static IP instructions pertain to this model as well?
