I've looked the forums and not seen the answer to this:

I know that IC is what's used to make a new disk usable. What I want to know is:

Does IC boot on its own or do I need something else in addition?

I'm not networking so PTVnet isn't needed. 

If this info is posted I haven't seen it (and I've looked diligently on each forum)
