Is there a how to use this site guide someplace?
I'm a messageboard veteran, but somehow I get lost easily here.
I'm used to vbulletin style sites I guess.

I have to admit that a first visit to this site can be daunting for someone who is used to everything normally being posted on a bulletin board. There is a bit of info under Help > Community FAQ.

TechLore Blog

HR10-250, Samsung SIR-S4120R, SIR-S4080R, 2 Philips DSR704s (one connected to a Slingbox A/V). One box used the "Zipper"; rest used PTVnet to enable networking features.

Gunny -

I have the same feelings you do; sometimes I just get a bit lost and have a hard time mapping my vbulletin-wired brain to the slightly different format offered here.

What I can tell you is that we have the ears and eyes of the people behind this platform, so if you can come up with some constructive comments on how things can be improved (easier said than done), please do post them here. Or email them to support@dvrplayground.com -- I know they take this stuff very seriously and are constantly working on improving the platform.

Thx,
Lou

Gunny, I am one of the co-founders of Capable Networks, the company behind the Playground and other community sites. I would really like to understand how to make this online experience better for folks like you.

Yog is correct, we have put some information in the Community FAQ but we are always open to suggestions. I will say that our goal in creating a community platform was to build more than just another forums. We wanted a place where people could contribute and consume content in a number of forms. This includes blogs, formal articles, podcasts, newsletters, private messaging, RSS, email notifications, and of course forums.

If it seems confusing at all, please pass along some feedback on how we can better present the features and we will act on it - promise.
