I went to connect the box to the internet and run the daily call hooking up the USB ethernet box bought from PTV upgrade and it is not working.
With PTVNet, there is no reason to "phone home." "Fakecall" should take care of the "Daily Call" nag message.
I downloaded and ran Angry IP scanner.. still nothing. I've tested the ethernet cable and that works. I am getting lights on the Netgear USBethernet box.
Did you try rebooting the TiVo?
