I ordered, downloaded and burned InstallCake from PTVUpgrade today from work (as their instructions recommend downloading from a "stable" connection). Got home and installed on a 120GB drive, popped it in my Series2 and it's stuck at the Welcome screen.

So back to try and figure out what's wrong...turns out I downloaded the wrong version of InstallCake. I tried to look my model up online at Tivo.com, but couldn't find my model number. So I ordered what sounded like my model from the description. Turns out I got the TCD540040 version and my TiVo is actually a TCD24004A.

1. Do you guys think that is why it's stuck at the Welcome screen?

2. Do you guys think PTVUpgrade will have mercy on me and let me download the correct version?

Hitting my head against the wall...argh!
