I finally jumped into HDTV with both feet. Last week I bought the new Sony Wega 60" KDS-R60XBR1 rear projection LCOS tv. Even more impressive than the picture is my negotiation skills in convicing my my wife that I needed a $4k television! I've got two Tivos connected to it, one is the HR10-250 high-def tivo using HDMI cable, and the other is a DSR7000 with an S-video cable. A few hours programming my 2117 JP1 remote, and I'm controlling the whole entertainment system with one remote (including unique codes for each Tivo). High definition content looks astonishing, especially since my last tv was a 32" tube. Regular definition content looks horrible. I'm actually looking forward to the new Tivo mpeg-4 HD Tivo. I don't mind giving up hackability for the extra HD content. What's your setup?

Congratulations, nice configuration. I have an HR10-250 with 600GB of memory. I also love HDTV (picture and audio). I have an H79 Optoma proyector, a 120" THX certified Screen, a Marantz 9600 7.1 Receiver, and a 7.1 Ultra THX II, Speaker system with 2 subwoofers. The system is awesome. I also have a 2nd HR10-250 for my wife and kids, with a 42 Marantz HDTV Plasma monitor, and a smaller Marantz Receiver in a 5.1 Configuration. If you want to fully appreciate the HDTV potential you need a good audio surroun system.

DVR 611
PS3
Apple TV
HD DVD
HDMI switch to connect all sources by HDMI.
Pioneer Plasma

Thinking ( with stimulus package comes in) to get a surround sound system like Yahmaha 663 which can handle 7.1.
