I've had the PTVupgrade for quite a while now and I just got the "you need to make a daily call message". I haven't seen that for months...and I haven't touched any of the settings.

What should I do?

Thanks.

reboot your unit and delete the message...

don't feel dumb; not sure why the message sporadically appears for some folks.. in any case, if it happens again, that should do the trick... glad all is well.

I upgraded using PtvNet and Instant Cake in December and recently started getting the daily call messages too.  I checked the crontab and when I changed it to fully qualify the path to fakecall.tcl the messages stopped apearing.  Maybe it would work for you.  Here's what I did -

Edit /var/spool/cron/crontabs/root

Change the line that says:

0 4 * * * fakecall.tcl

to:

0 4 * * * /ptvupgrade/bin/fakecall.tcl

I didn't need to reboot or anything, and it seems to be working now.
