I have recently installed the instant cake software on my sddvr-40 and I am thinking about adding the usb network interface adapter.

Does the adapter just get plugged into the usb port and acquire an ip address?

Do I have to re-install IC?

Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

InstantCake does not provide any networking support, so if you add a USB network interface, its not going to do you any good at all.

Please see the announcements at the top of this forum regarding networking your SDDVR40.
