Alrighty, I've checked everything 5 times or more and am still getting the same error:

"Please do not interrup this proces, it may take awhile...

/dev/hdc: No such device or address
Restore failed: Unable to open destination device for writing.
tpip: error opening /dev/hdc: No such device or address

Cannot continue -- processing aborted.

/#"

Any help would be great. My guess is that it has something to do with the drive. Its a 200gb Maxtor. Its brand new - freshly formatted. Thanks

KB3's response was the key to solving the problem.  Using the BIOS to check was how I finally got the connections made properly.  It is obviously critical to get the Primary and Secondary IDE connections correct along with the jumper settings on the drives.  Once you get those connections correct, the software works like a dream.

Very true.

This information should also be documented on the InstantCake help screens (press "F1" when booting the CD; there should be a prompt for it) and also it is good to review the instructions and release notes prior to attempting to use the software.

For answers to commonly asked questions, please refer to the
