Hi There,

I was ready to download Instant Cake when I ran into a SNAFU. It says only to use on Ver 6.1 or 3.1.1E. My version on my HD-250 says 3.1.1F. Does this mean I am hosed? Or can I still use 3.1.1E?

Thanks,

RM

Not sure where you are getting this information. InstantCake for the HR10-250/HD10-250 (HD units) is 3.1.5f; InstantCake for Series2 SD units is available for 3.1.1e and 6.2. The only InstantCake that is 6.1 is for the R10, which is an SD unit.

When you add it to the shopping cart. No matter which machine is selected, there are only two options, 3.1.1e or 6.2??? Plus the HD-250 is not even a model that you can select.

Thanks,

RM

The HR10-250 and HD10-250 are exactly the same.

I'm assuming that this is what you are looking for...

Hey, thanks for you time, I appreciate it!

Okay so I need the DIY CD too? Can I InstantCake and then use the DIY CD to network it?

But like above, the DIY CD says this:

***************
Currently, the PTVnet software CD is only available for select Series2 DirecTV DVR systems running 3.1.1e or 6.2. For a full description of the product features and supported models, please click on the appropriate link below.
***************

So can I still use it? I don't mean to be a pain but I like to do things myself and figure I can save some money too....

Thanks Again!!

What is diff between ICAKE-S2DT-HD special editions 1.1 and 1.2 for HR10-250?  Couldn't find any info in release notes.

I've also been looking for an answer to this question.  Someone please reply!
