I purchased the PTVnet CD and used it on a SD-DVR40
Everything worked fine and I have now telnet, etc.
I want to install other stuff and the requirements are a kernel modified with killhdinitrd like the kernels on the LBA48 Enhanced CD (I bought that CD too)
Before I install a kernel from the LBA48 E CD I thought I better ask if I may already have a kernel modified with killhdinitrd installed since I used the PTVnet CD - or, in other words - does the PTVnet CD install a kernel modified with killhdinitrd?
Thanks for your help!
A killhdinitrd kernel was already installed on your drive as part of the PTVnet installation process. IE. You don't need to install another kernel, unless there is some aspect of the kernel you are considering that is different than the one already installed. The one installed is the same as the one on the LBA48 CD.
