I have a Standalone Tivo Series 2 model TCD1400060. It has two 120 Gig drives in it already. The Tivo has the version 7.2xxxx from Tivo. I have read that my system does not have the correct kernal to allow for larger drives full capacity to used.

Is it possible to upgrade my kernal to the version that can use the larger drives? If so, which software choice would I need from here, the $5 one? After that will InstantCake work and see the full size of the drives?

My overall goal in this is to replace these two 120 Gig drives with two 250 gig drives and transfer all settings and recordings as well.

Thanks
