I ran ptvnet and used instantcake on my DSR604. Now in system information it says it is a 7000. Is this going to be a problem?

I think you mean you have a DSR704 as there is no model (that I know of that is a DSR604). Please check the first 3 digits of the service number on the rear of the unit (or in the info screen in TiVoWebPlus) and then check the last 3 digits of the "software system" as displayed by your "system information" screen (or the info screen in TiVoWebPlus). As long as those are the same, you are fine. If you are talking about the name reported by the IRD model, it does not matter what that says, as long as the numbers above, match. If they don't match, then you have installed the wrong software for your unit and you should double check to ensure you ordered and installed the correct software.

You're right. It was a typo. The numbers match so I guess it must be OK. Thanks for the incredibly quick reply.
