I am very happy with with my new cake on Hughes series 2. Everything went well. I also loaded PTVnet, but have not tried to connect to it. I do not know which way to go, wireless or wired. My computer will be within easy reach of my Tivo and I would really like it to be wired, but I don't know exactly how to configure it. Can I use a flip cable from a USB adapter to my computer lan card? Or should I use a lan switch between the two systems? I have not seen any discussion about this problem. Any help is appreciated.
