I hope this question is not answered elsewhere, but I want to know if there is a way to take the shows off my DVR80 (totally un-moded right now) and move them to the new drive during the upgrade process. Also wondering if I could run a dual hard drive with the new upgraded drive as the master and the old original as the slave and access the old shows that way ?

The answer to the first part of your question is "yes" -- you can order a kit, plus a gold install, and we'll transfer the recordings from your original drive onto a new kit. The answer to the second part of your question is "no" -- if you want to use your original drive as part of the new kit, you'll need to erase it. Alternatively, you can add a drive to your existing configuration without erasing things -- you should be aware that once you add a drive, you can't remove it. Its always better to replace with a new one and keep your old one as a backup.

Probably a good idea to spend a bit more time on our web site and familiarize yourself with our product and installation options so you know what you are dealing with.
