I have a Panasonic DVR model DMR-HS2, sometimes referred to as DMR-E30.

I can't help but wonder if there isn't some similarity, i.e. involving Linux, but I doubt I can just plug in a new drive and have ny success at all. Does anyone know of a place where replacements for non-TiVo DVR's are taking place, I haven't located them? Thanks, Dean
