Hi, All:

I have an RCA DVR80 which I previously (in 2004) upgraded with a D2R-160000-PTVNET kit. This was at the 3.1 version of code. No problems with that upgrade, I've been using it ever since.

A few days ago, I allowed my Tivo to upgrade itself to 6.2 code, primarily so I would get "folders" in the Now Playing list. Upgrade went OK, and I lost network and other hacks as expected. No problem.

I purchased the PTVNet Utility CD (PTVnet-S2DT-62) and upgraded my drive with it, and put it back in my Tivo. Booted up no problem, everything looked great, EXCEPT:

I now only have one satellite feed working, not two as before. I have verified that both my satellite feeds are "hot" (if I plug either one in to the satellite 1 input on the back of the Tivo, I get satellite reception) but whichever feed I plug in to satellite 2, I get nothing except "Searching for signal on Satellite In 2."

I have checked my satellite setup, and it is correct, specifying my 3LNB dish, but whenever I have it try to auto detect satellites, I get signal on 1, and nothing on 2.

When I check system information on the Tivo, it says I have a DVR40, which is not true, it's a DVR80, but other than that, everything looks good. In the tuner list, it sals Directv Sat 1 & 2 are both enabled.

Any ideas? I am out of them, and I would really like to get both tuners working again before prime time tonight when Tivo starts recording like crazy! :)

Again, in case it matters, my upgrade path was:
DVR80 - Upgraded to 3.1 with a 140 Hour Kit from PTVUPgrade
Upgraded to 6.2 Over the air from Directv
Upgraded 6.2 with PTVNet disk PTVnet-S2DT-62

HELP! and THANKS!

Its probably something *really* simple. Like a bad connector or a cable that is not connected properly. As long as you've actually verified that two tuners have been enabled (check in your 'system information' screen to verify that) then I would start looking at the hardware. Try swapping cables around etc to pinpoint the problem...

Strange... I rebooted it a couple of times, and it is now working, no hardware changes... Thanks for the quick reply, I guess your reply was the magic! :)
