Bought IC for the HR10-250. 3.1.5e ver.
Ran it on 250G HD
It Baked, finished, put it in drive.
Comes up fine, almost like original but information shows 3.1.5_012357.
Also some SixFeetUnder with a gold start beside it link to HBO, which wasn't there in original.
My original was (3.1.5e_012357). So it looks like this is either before E version, or it's a hacked kernel.
I am hoping it is just a hacked e kernel, so I can start dropping programs on the drive. But wanted to see first before locking the drive and having to wait forever for the Tivo to boot again. That was quite painful.

Ok, was looking back through the help file from yahoo groups, since I can't get any help here, and found this:
If you have "3.1.5-01-2-357", then you have what is being referred to as the "baseline" software (some have called it rev "C" to coincide with future revisions, although the 'c' notation never actually appears anywhere).

If you have "3.1.5d-01-2-357" or "3.1.5e-01-2-357" then you have a later revision of the baseline software. This document uses the notation rev "D" (or release "D") and rev "E" (or release "E") as shorthand to denote "3.1.5d-01-2-357" and "3.1.5e-01-2-357", respectively.

Now I am really confused, as the package I purchased said for the HR10-250 it was an E version! I guess that's why I see that SixFeetUnder gold star in the list, it was removed with my original version that was already at E ver.

Please someone reply and tell me:
1. How to get E ver? I have dialed out and it isn't updating automatically
2. Can I use IC to add programs at this time with a base IC image? Or do I still have to go through the process of adding a newer kernel?
