I ran instant cake and then PTVNet on a test drive (want to back up my current tivo drive before I run DTVNet on it)
all seems to have gone well - Plugged it in and went throuh the find phone number dialin routine - plugged my linksys wireless wusb11 ver 2.6 adapter.
The only thing I really want is to get the guide via the internet and do away with a phone line.
1. how can I tell if it is accually on the network now
2. do I have to change anything in settings or anywhere else so it uses the internet to update the guide instead of the phone (I have a replay and had to change that setting but can't find anything to change on the Tivo.)
I am am experianced computer person but don't know Linix - so if the solution is in Linix please have patiance.
