iI have been researching your Instantcake for my series 2 tcd24004a and found several posts that seem to indicate that the InstantCake doesn't supply a lba48 kernel for using >137 Gig drives.

but the documentation on the ptvupgrade site states, "InstantCake for your Series2 standalone unit will build the equivalent of any of our standard replacement drive kits for these models." - which the upgrade kits do obviously support >137 Gig drives.

so before I buy - can someone confirm that the InstantCake for the tcd24004a includes a lba48 kernel?

Thanks

Raymon

InstantCake for the TCD24004A does NOT include an LBA48 kernel. Kits for this model DO -- please see release notes for InstantCake here, as this is specifically addressed:

Thx
