Before I go completely cross-eyed I thought I would get some more direct help. I have just successfully completed installing a new 160gb Maxtor drive into a Samsung SIR S4040R Directv DRV. (How great is is to see all that new space) I have connected it thru the Linksys USB200M to a Linksys WRT54G Router. I can see the IP assigned to the DVR 192.168.1.104. I tried tytools with that address and it cant find the DVR. What am I doing wrong? How do I get into the DVR hard drive? HELP?? Bye the way, I use the PTV Instant Cake and the PtvNet and both worked like a champ. Easy as eating cake. One note, I believe the upgrades cannot be done on a 40gb new drive. I tried 2 and neither would work.
