We downloaded the Instantcake iso for our HDVR2.
11358208 Jun 16 19:16 ptvnet311e.iso

however it doesn't seem to have a .image directory.
I've even mounted it on linux via the loopback device
and did a ls -al, but didn't see a .image directory.

Our stock tivo drive died and we are trying to create a new drive for our HDVR2.

Confused by your post - the filename you've mentioned is not InstantCake, its PTVnet...

We got wrong file

I think my XYL downloaded the wrong file then.
She has since gotten the correct file and had the time to complete the work to get her Tivo back up and running.

Thanks,
Peter
